Candidate Consent for Interview Recording & AI Analysis


Robinhood is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and efficient hiring process. To help our hiring team focus entirely on our conversation with you rather than manual note-taking, we use a tool called BrightHire.


How We Use BrightHire

If you provide your consent, BrightHire will use AI to generate summaries and transcriptions of our conversation. We may also use aggregated, de-identified data to analyze our interview process. 


Data Protection Information


  • Voluntary Participation: Providing consent is entirely voluntary. If you choose not to be recorded, it will not negatively impact your application or our hiring decision. We will simply take manual notes instead.
  • Legal Basis: This personal data processing is based on your explicit consent.
  • Data Security: Your recordings are encrypted and stored securely. They are only accessible to the specific members of the hiring team involved in your recruitment process.
  • Retention: We retain these recordings in accordance with our data retention policy, after which they are deleted.
  • Your Rights: Under applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to access, rectify, request the deletion of your data, or complain to your national data protection authority about the processing of your data. You may also withdraw your consent at any time before or during the interview by notifying the interviewer, or after the interview.
